Town of Allegany (Cattaraugus County) determines Everpower Renewables 32-turbine project at Chipmonk Ridge will have a significant environmental impact. While this may seem painfully obvious, such a determination is a necessary step under New York law relating to environmental review. Olean Times Herald, 11/11.

Tompkins County recommends to Town of Enfield that wind turbine setback from property lines increase to 1.5 times tower height, and from dwellings to 2 times the tower height. If adopted, proposals may end Connecticut Hill project under review. Ithaca Journal, 11/12.
