What follows is a 9-10 minute abbreviated version of a presentation this blogger gave at the February 2009 annual meeting of the Association of Towns of the State of New York. The presentation focuses on zoning and other legal issues that affect wind facilities siting in New York State.
The presentation was part of a larger panel fashioned “Wind Farm Development 101 for Planning Boards” on which representatives of Iberdrola Renewables and Clough Harbour & Associates also participated. The panel was intended as a very basic primer for New York State zoning officials and others relatively unfamiliar with wind power facility siting issues.
Like the panel presentation at the Towns meeting, the presentation linked here is not, and should not be construed as, legal advice.
