MIT Wind Week 2009, March 30th – April 4th

  • – April 3rd: Full-day workshop: Offshore Wind Technology, Today and Tomorrow
    • o Premier experts to speak on a full-range of technologies for both on and offshore wind
    • o Lunch and materials included; mini-reception to follow
    • o students encouraged to present research at evening poster session the night before

Open events include:

  • – March 31st: Wind Energy 101
  • – April 1st: Discussion on Wind Research at MIT
  • – April 1st: Lecture on Wind Power Growth by Jim Lyons, Co-Founder of GE Wind
  • – April 2nd: Company Presentation by NRG Systems: wind resource measurement technologies
  • – April 2nd: Evening reception / student poster session / networking event with Wind Industry Representatives (space limited)
  • – April 4th: Tour of Hull Wind and discussion of their plans for new offshore power projects
