Article on zoning wind projects for New York towns

This blogger wrote an article dealing with the zoning of New York wind energy projects that appeared in the September-October 2008 magazine, Talk of the Towns/Topics, of the New York State Association of Towns. It discusses, in broad brushstrokes, the myriad challenges to zoning wind energy projects, including those of maintaining a transparent, ethical zoning and permitting process.

The Association (whose approval of the re-broadcast of the article in this manner is appreciated) has been active on wind energy siting issues, and its executive director, G. Jeffrey Haber, has just been named to the Task Force created by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to oversee the new wind energy siting code of conduct for wind developers in the state.

The article, in PDF format, is found here.
